Who is Mrs. Foster ? My name is Mrs. Tabatha Foster. A native of Georgia born and raised in Savannah, GA. I attended Dekalb Technical College obtaining my state license as a master cosmetologist (active license). After working in the field of cosmetology for many years, I decided to change my career path. I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Sociology from Georgia State University and Master's degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Phoenix.Although this is my first year at D.A.T.E, I have been an educator in Dekalb County Schools for the past 11 years. I have taught 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th-8th and special education.Also, a mother of two beautiful adult daughters, mother-in-law, and grandmother of an awesome granddaughter. My oldest is also an educator in the Dekalb County School System. My youngest daughter was a senior in the education program at the University of West Georgia. She passed away at the age of twenty-three on February 24, 2016. I have been married for twenty-nine years to a Navy veteran. This allowed me to become well traveled.In my twenty-plus years living in Dekalb County and being involved in my children’s educational journey, PTA , band and softball booster,and volunteering in the classrooms, I saw where I could make a difference in our Leaders of Tomorrow. Teaching is my passion. I enjoy seeing our students in the process of learning.
